Kelly Rowan starred in three seasons on TNT’s Perception opposite Eric McCormack. However, Rowan is most remembered for starring as Kirsten Cohen in the hit television series, The OC (FOX) for which she won a Prism Award for Best Actress.
Rowan has starred in several television movies such as the ABC Family Movie, Cyberbully for which she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress. She produced and starred in Eight Days to Live, In God's Country for Lifetime/CTV and The Good Times are Killing Me opposite Rupert Graves (CTV) all nominated for several Gemini Awards including Best Television Movie. Other television credits include the award winning The Truth About Jane (LIFETIME) opposite Stockard Channing, the Award winning Anya's Bell (CBS), and Boomtown (NBC).
Rowan also won critical acclaim and the Gemini Award for Best Actress in a Movie or Mini Series for her performance in the CBS movie Adrift opposite Bruce Greenwood.
Rowan has also worked on the big screen starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson in the Warner Bros. thriller 187. Other film credits include Rufus, Jack and Jill Vs. the World opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. and Taryn Manning, Assasins with Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas, Hook with Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams and Mt. Pleasant for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Vancouver Film Festival.
Rowan has also worked as an active producer. In 2007 she shared a CFTPA Indie Award for Outstanding Independent Producer for work on IN GOD’S COUNTRY. She has produced several projects with Shaftesbury Films including She Drives me Crazy for LIFETIME and the CTV network, winning a Gemini Award for Best Television Movie.
In 2005 she won a CTV International Achievement Award for her contribution to Canadian Television from Women in Film Toronto.
She currently resides in British Columbia, Canada.
